UPDATE, MARCH 26: We are waiting to see when schools will reopen, then we will determine if we can adjust the schedule and still hold the spring clinics.
The HBA will hold six-week basketball clinics for players in Grades 3-8 this spring. Everyone is eligible to participate, even if they did not play travel or rec basketball over the winter. The fee for the clinic is $75.
The Grade 3-8 girls clinics will be overseen by Hopkinton High School girls varsity coach Mike Greco. The Grade 3-8 boys clinics will be overseen by Hopkinton High School boys varsity coach Tom Keane. Varsity players will assist the coaches.
Below are the tentative schedules. Gym locations and times are subject to change.
BOYS CLINICS: The boys clinics are scheduled to be held on Mondays from 6:30-7:45 p.m., starting April 6 and ending May 18 (no clinic the week of April vacation). They will be held at Brown Gym (Hopkinton Middle School main gym). Note: The first clinic (April 6) will run from 7-8:20 p.m. The last clinic (May 18) will be held at Doyle Gym.
GIRLS CLINICS: The girls clinics are scheduled to be held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m., starting April 8 and ending May 20 (no clinic the week of April vacation). They will be held at Brown Gym (Hopkinton Middle School main gym). Note: The first clinic (April 8) will run from 7-8:20 p.m.
NOTES: Participants should wear a green and white reversible jersey, or if they don't have one then a white or light gray shirt. All players also should bring a basketball (Size 29.5 for boys Grades 7-8, Size 28.5 for boys Grades 3-6 and all girls) and water bottle -- both with their name on it. The coaches will have a limited number of basketballs for those who do not own one.
Note that enrollment is limited and the clinics are likely to fill up. To register, connect to the HBA registration page at AdminSports here and choose "Spring clinics 2020."
