HBA fall basketball program 2017

​​​The HBA again will organize a fall basketball program for players interested in getting some practice before the winter travel (and rec) season. There will be six weekly practices, consisting of instruction and scrimmaging, beginning the week of Sept. 18. All Grade 3-8 players in Hopkinton are eligible to participate. The fee is $65.


The Grade 5-8 girls clinics will be overseen by Hopkinton High School girls basketball coach Mike Greco. The Grade 5-8 boys clinics will be run by HHS boys coach Tom Keane. The Grade 3-4 clinics will be run by HBA staff.


Below is the tentative schedule, pending confirmation of gym availability from Hopkinton Public Schools. (changes to original schedule are in red).


GRADE 3-4 GIRLS
Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m., Doyle Gym (starts Sept. 21, ends Oct. 26)

GRADE 5-8 GIRLS
Mondays, 6:45-8:15 p.m., Brown Gym (starts Sept. 18, ends Oct. 30; no clinic on Oct. 9 due to holiday) Oct. 30 clinic moved to Elmwood


GRADE 3-4 BOYS
Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m., Doyle Gym (starts Sept. 21, ends Oct. 26)

GRADE 5-6 BOYS
Tuesdays, 5:30-7 p.m., Doyle Gym (starts Sept. 19, ends Oct. 24)

GRADE 7-8 BOYS
Tuesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., Doyle Gym (starts Sept. 19, ends Oct. 24)

NOTES: Participants should wear a green and white reversible jersey, or if they don't have one then a white or green shirt. All players also should bring a basketball and water bottle -- both with their name on it. Boys Grades 7 and 8 use a full-size (29.5) ball, while all other grades use a 28.5 ball. (We will have a few extra basketballs if you do not own one.)
