The Hopkinton Recreation Youth Basketball Program allows children to develop skills
in a relaxed atmostphere, without the intensity of the Hopkinton Travel Program. Teams have one practice and
one game per week (except Grades 2 & 3).
Program Descriptions
7th and 8th grade boys and girls
This intramural program for 7th and 8th grade players runs from December through February. Team selection
depends on the number of players who register. Coaches will be selected based on need.
4th, 5th and 6th grade boys and girls
Teams will be formed based on gender and current school grade. The Programs begins in November with 2-3 per-season
instructional clinics. Games will begin after Thanksgiving. Our annual "Hoop it Up" Tournament will be held at the
end of the season.
3rd grade boys and girls
This is an instructional program open to all Hopkinton third grade students. This program will be conducted on Saturdays
beginning in December and ending in February. The format of this league is skills based.
2nd grade boys and girls
Children must be in the second grade to attend. A 1 1/2 hour instructional clinic will be held on Sundays in January and February.
Players will receive a ball and tee shirt.
